Patrick Dempsey, the heart-throb of Grey’s anatomy has risen to the heights of stardom both in film and on television and is the idol of millions now. Born in on 13th of January 1966 in Lewiston, Maine in the US, his Capricorn hard work saw him attain a coveted film role in the famous movie on Golden Pond at the age of 15. It’s not unusual for those born under Capricorn to have a natural inclination to work diligently even from an early age. And luckily he did, because the rest is history.
At the age of 17 he played the part of a gay teen in the Harvey Fierstein play Torch Song Trilogy. He spent several months touring and also supplemented his income by juggling which he had done from an early age as well. This also shows the versatility of Capricorn natives to not do just one job well but if necessary to do additional work to earn the money that they feel is going to give them security in the future.
Some of the other films and TV specials he has appeared in include A Fighting Choice in 1986, Mobsters in 1991, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea which was a remake of the original TV series, and he also appeared in such famous TV sitcoms as Will and Grace, The Practice, and who can forget that great movie Sweet Home Alabama in 2002 where he played opposite Reese Witherspoon?
Patrick has married for a second time and he has three children, showing again the Capricorn ideal of being devoted to family life. His penchant for competitive success is also seen in the fact that he is an avid sports car racer and has even taken part in the Indianapolis and Daytona Beach events.
Some people think Capricorn is a selfish but Patrick shows that this couldn’t be further from the truth. He actually started the Patrick Dempsey Centre for Cancer Hope and Healing in his home town as a response to his mother developing ovarian cancer. To top that all off Avon has now released a new fragrance in conjunction with Patrick called “Unscripted”.
